Is this compatible with aftermarket frames or parts kits?
This is a factory-complete, serialized GLOCK pistol. It is designed to function with OEM GLOCK components. We had one customer report it was “too tight,” which was traced to an incompatible aftermarket frame. For guaranteed reliability, use it as supplied or with genuine GLOCK factory parts.
What magazines does it use?
The GLOCK 23 GEN4 uses standard GLOCK 22/23 magazines in .40 S&W. It ships with one 13-round magazine. Magazines from other GLOCK models in .40 S&W, like the GLOCK 22 or 27, are also compatible.
What are the main differences from the GEN3?
The GEN4 introduces user-interchangeable backstraps for grip size adjustment, a reversible magazine catch for left-handed shooters, a dual recoil spring assembly for reduced felt recoil, and an enhanced rough-textured frame grip. The magazine release is also larger for easier operation.
