What ammunition runs best in the PMR-30?
For optimal reliability, use full-power 40-grain .22 WMR ammunition. We recommend avoiding lighter, hyper-velocity loads, especially when new, as the pistol’s blowback system is tuned for standard velocity rounds. CCI Maxi-Mag is a consistently reliable choice.
Can I mount a red dot sight on it?
Yes. The pistol features an integrated Picatinny rail section on the slide behind the rear sight. This allows direct mounting of many micro red dot sights. As our staff has noted, the factory sights also co-witness well with popular aftermarket options if you choose to keep them installed.
Is the magazine difficult to load to full capacity?
Loading all 30 rounds by hand can be challenging. The magazine design benefits from using a speed loader, which we highly recommend. Following the manual’s loading instructions—pressing down each round fully before adding the next—ensures proper stacking and reliable feeding.
