Q & A
Is the P320-XTEN compatible with other P320 grip modules?
Yes. The serialized Fire Control Unit (FCU) is the core of the P320 system and is compatible with a wide range of P320 grip modules and slides. However, you must use a grip module and magazine designed for the .45 ACP/10mm Auto platform, as the dimensions differ from those for 9mm/.357 SIG.
What optics fit the factory cut?
The slide is cut for the SIG Sauer ROMEO2 and ROMEO3PRO red dot footprints. For other popular optics like the Trijicon RMR, you will need an adapter plate, which are readily available from SIG and aftermarket manufacturers.
How does it handle recoil?
The 10mm cartridge generates significant energy. The P320-XTEN manages it effectively with its full-size, heavy stainless steel slide, 5-inch barrel, and the aggressive, ergonomic XSeries grip module. This combination provides excellent control for fast follow-up shots. Our staff notes the fit is slightly tighter on some aftermarket Gen4 frames compared to Gen5, but this does not affect function.
